FORESTRY INFRASTRUCTUREUsing a fleet of specialist vehicles and working in close partnership with a number of trusted contractors, Euroforest Ireland provides customers with an extensive forestry logistics solution.Euroforest operates vehicle configurations to suit all situations. The Company’s operation includes a substantial number of timber crane trailers, skeleton trailers and rigid timber crane truck and trailer combinations. Many of the timber cranes are fitted with weighing systems that help to maintain regulation load volumes and reduce mechanical impact to forest road infrastructure.
The modern fleet has been specified with the latest technology, matching efficiency with minimal environmental impact. Euroforest Ireland operates a national fleet, this minimises hugely wasteful empty running, delivering significant transport savings that are passed directly on to the customer. Our own drivers undergo a programme of regular driver training, including the use of safe and fuel efficient techniques and specialist trailer-mounted crane operation. This fleet allows Euroforest to open up marketing opportunities for forest owners in even the most remote areas with limited access. TIMBER REMOVALEuroforest Ireland implements a strict Timber Removal Permit process for all timber movements and with all hauliers. This ensures that in our system each load of timber is accounted for from the forest to the end destination.
Our dedicated fleet of hauliers have proven to be reliable and accountable in the implementation of our Timber Removal Permit process. Keeping our clients aware of timber removal in real time is of paramount importance to them and to the professional service Euroforest provide. |

CTI TYRE TECHNOLOGY
Some of the lorries are fitted with modern Central Tyre Inflation systems. This experience helps us when managing the large fleet of six wheeler/trailer articulated units, lightweight trailers and CTI, used in forestry transport. CTI technology enables tyre pressures to be reduced automatically, increasing traction, allowing timber lorries to extend the safe use of many forest tracks built for seasonal or intermittent use during the harvesting phase. This system also helps to maintain the integrity of minor country roads during short periods of high volume traffic, cutting road wear costs to forestry customers.
