John Bates became a harvesting manager for Euroforest in January 2025, focusing on the southeast region. With 30 years of experience in forestry as a contractor, John has worked in Sweden, Germany, and the USA. His projects included managing storm recovery efforts after Storm Erwin in Germany and sourcing and inspecting transmission poles from both Germany and the USA for the Irish market. Having been self-employed for many years, John also contributed to the Avondale "Among the Trees" initiative
